The Fluidmaster 400A is a universal fill valve that works for almost every brand, and model toilet. The only downside of the 400A, or other universal fill valves is that most of the time you will have to adjust the height of the tower, and float. The reason being with a universal fill valve it cannot come from the factroy adjusted to the proper water level for every model, but if adjusted properly the Fluidmaster 400A can be a great replacement especially if the original fill valve for your toilet tank has been discontinued. Before installing a new fill valve make sure to flush the stop out to avoid any buildup flowing into the new fill valve, which will damage the part. You can flush the stop out by disconnecting the supply line from the old valve, and placing the end of the supply line into an empty bucket. You will then need to turn the water on, and allow it to run for a few seconds and then shut the water off. You will need to repeat this process at least 2 to 3 times to insure no debris flows directly into the new fill valve.
