Genuine Mansfield 630-0204 Tank To Bowl Kit

The Mansfield genuine 630-0204 tank to bowl kit includes, tank to bowl gasket, three bots with rubber heads, 3 wing nuts and a supply line nut. The gasket installs around the nut that secures the flush valve to the tank, and it is designed to create the seal between the tank, and toilet bowl. If you have an external leak between the tank, and the bowl this part is usually the cause. When the rubber gasket deteriorates it begins to allow water to seep through, and the water can leak down onto the floor. If you have a universal, or aftermarket flush valve this tank to bowl kit will not work with it. The reason for this being the Mansfield gasket is designed to fit with a round flush valve nut, while the universal flush valves use a hexed nut. When installing this kit it is extremely important to folow these steps. First you will secure the tank to bowl gasket around the flush valve nut, and then insert the 3 bolts through the bolt holes in the tank. You will then need to carefully line up the bolt holes in the tank with the holes in the toilet bowl. Once the holes are lined up slowly drop the tank onto the bowl, and finger tighten the three nuts on the bottom side of the bolts. Once this step is complete grab a level, and make sure the tank is sitting flush. After you have made sure the tank is level begin tightening the three bolts with a wrench. You will need to do one turn on each bolt at a time to ensure the tank stays level. Be super careful with this step, because an overtightened bolt can mean a cracked tank.
